Flash Fiction Friday #23

Welcome to yet another Flash Fiction Friday. A picture might be worth a thousand words, but today it’s worth 100 no more, no less. Thanks for stopping by and please follow the link to get to the other FFF posts. Flasher Fiction Friday. Now here are my 100.

“Shh, don’t say a word.” Joseph whispered in her ear as he held his hand over her mouth. Damn, he hoped she wouldn’t scream. Seeing a murder wasn’t something you did every day.
She nodded a quick jerk of her head, her breathing erratic at best. Her whole body shivered, making him that much more protective.
“Is that your lover?” He had to know who it was.
Another quick nod of her head, then she reached for his hand, pulling it away from her face. “I’m okay now.”  
He leaned forward and whispered in her ear, “He’s not anymore, love.”

    Ohhh, dead people! Love the shivery feeling. Now is this guy planning to take her lover's place? Did he murder her lover? So many questions occur to me. Nicely done, Bonni.

    Love a man who can take care of you. I can take care of myself but it's nice to have someone there to fight your battles when you're just to damn tired to do it on your own.

    I'm afraid to ask if he's the killer or just her savior! Bonni, you and Lisa could seriously link your Flashes together and maybe we'd see a more complete picture and have some questions answered. :) *shivers*
