Flash Fiction Friday #36

Welcome to yet another Flash Fiction Friday. A picture might be worth a thousand words, but today it’s worth 100 no more, no less. Thanks for stopping by and please follow the links to get to the other FFF posts. Now here are my 100.

“I see you. I see through you. The sadness you feel is worn on your skin. Do my eyes deceive me?” She held her hands up to her face, seeing with her true eyes, telling a fortune.
“I…I don’t know. Do you know what all of this means? Is something bad going to happen to me?” Shawna started to sweat.
“Yes, child. Unless you find the other half of you.” The Madam lowered her hands, revealing blind, blue eyes.
“Lady, I have the other half of me and he’s worth about a bucket full of shit. Crap, I’m totally screwed.”

  1. This was delightful, Bonni!! A fortune teller and a bucket of crap....only you could have put those two together in a wicked post. Loved it:) xo

  2. Oh wow, that was wonderful. I wasn't feeling the picture this week but was inspired today at the very last moment and decided to post something on my blog.

  3. The sadness you feel is worn on your skin. Nice. If only her other half was worth a little more than shit. That made me smile and made the flash a full circle of emotions. Excellent flash.

  4. I was so focused on what you were saying that when I got to the bucket of crap line I spit my coffee on my keyboard. Great Flash, Bonni!

  5. I loved the flash Bonni! I actually giggled while reading it. Well done! Thank you!

  6. What an excellent flash Bonni. I loved the words, message and overall feeling :) Awesome.

  7. Aw, surely he's worth more than that! Very funny post!

  8. Oh Bonni, always a pleasure reading your post. A bucket full of crap, I can't stop giggling. I love how you're mind works!

  9. Time for her to empty and refill that bucket don't you think. Bonnie, great flash woman!

  10. Bonni, you totally got me with this one I thought I sorta, kinda knew where you were headed, but when I got to the end, pow - you shot me in the heart.

I didn't see that one coming at all - a bucket full of crap. Oh Lord, been there done that and I burned the t-shirt. I think I would have told the fortune teller to give me my damn money back. LOL

    You rock Ms. Bonni.

  11. It's sad when someone's so called better half isn't worth two cents. Even sadder when they stay with them. Great FFF, very thoughtful

  12. Awesome Flash. At first it had me in suspense and then all of a sudden it had me laughing. Great job.
