Flash Fiction Friday #43

 She stood out from the beginning. Her having been the only black winged angel in existence, she questioned her guardian. “Why am I different?” She squatted by the water and let a tear fall.
“Steady child,” he crooned as he petted her silky hair.  “You will get all the answers when you finish your tasks.” He lifted her chin and smiled at her indulgently.
“I…will?” Taking his offered hand she stood up beside him. “What are they?”
“Redeem yourself, help your ex find his way and apologize for being a whore.

  1. For some reason the ending deflated me a bit. I like the odd angel out, though. Great concept for a story.
