Welcome to Tanatlizing Tuesday, where we pick our own picture to write 200 words about. I hope you enjoy my 200 and be sure to check out all of the other teasers by following the links below.
On that fateful summer night, in the grey-black mist, Xyla summoned death to make her minions. She could collect souls, but not own them until death. The moon ripe and high in the midnight sky loomed over them as they basked in her luminescence.
Only once every thousand years is Xyla able to come up from hell and collect a new batch of souls to do her bidding on the population. Every broken spirit, every dark and twisted mind is hers to control. Hers to unleash on the unsuspecting world. A sex fiend is allowed his depraved orgy; the murderer is allowed to feast on the innocent. For this one night the world is hers to control. The unlucky are taken without a thought, without remorse. In the slightest motion of her hands life is whisked away, to be replaced with the nothingness that is death.
“I wish to take this one.” Xyla pointed to the muscled man walking along the beach. He was the unlucky, but she wanted him for his body not his soul. He would lie with her creating a new breed of demon. The Government Officials.
“As you wish.” Death swooped in and collected him swiftly.
